Frederick VINE Starts With One Person
The service answers one question at a time. It checks the custody status of a named person and lets you register for alerts. It does not display every Frederick County booking for browsing. Gather the best spelling and identity details first. Then confirm the facility shown in any match. That narrow focus keeps a VINE result distinct from the weekly arrest log, a police report, and the eventual court file.
Frederick VINELink Custody Coverage
Maryland VINE runs through Victim Services. That program belongs to the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. Start at VINELink, or use the current DHS-branded portal if that address redirects. Pick Maryland from the state list. The interface may ask for a facility. Choose Frederick County Adult Detention Center or the matching Frederick County custody option. No public participation table spells out FCADC's exact feed or update interval. The statewide service is official. Current Frederick availability is best tested inside the live portal. If no Frederick match appears, call FCADC. You can also call Central Booking. A missing result is never proof of release, transfer, or non-arrest. The VINELink entry screen is where you select the proper state system.

The interface may change over time, so follow its current labels rather than a fixed button position.
Check a Frederick Person on VINELink
Look up one known person, not a list of county bookings. The official Maryland brochure supports name or offender-ID lookup. Phone access is supported too. The portal is dynamic, so use only the fields the live screen presents. Use exact spelling. More than one matching detail cuts the risk of grabbing the wrong person.
- Open VINELink and select Maryland.
- Choose Frederick County or FCADC if the current search asks for a facility.
- Enter the person's name or accepted offender identifier.
- Review all returned matches and compare available identity details.
- Open the correct result and read the custody event and update context.
- Use the notification option only after confirming the match.
A no-result can happen for many reasons. The intake may be brand new, the spelling differs, or the facility feed is down. A transfer may have occurred. Release may already have happened. The record may not qualify for display. When a result conflicts with solid information, call Central Booking at 301-600-1790 or FCADC at 301-600-2550. The current DHS-branded VINELink portal may appear during the search and alert flow.

This official interface is a custody tool, not an FCSO inmate-search app.
Frederick VINELink Result Fields
VINELink reports status and notifications, not the complete Frederick County booking file. Fields can vary by record, event, and portal design. The table describes the supported purpose without promising every item appears for each FCADC match.
| Information | How to read it |
|---|---|
| Name or identifier | Use it to distinguish possible matches; verify more than one detail. |
| Custody status | A status point that can change after the listed update. |
| Facility or agency | Shows the custody source when provided, not necessarily the arresting agency. |
| Release or transfer event | An alertable event where the Maryland system offers it. |
| Escape or probation/parole event | May be available under the event options described by Maryland VINE. |
| Court or protective-order status | May appear when available; it is not the complete court file. |
| Booking photograph | VINELink is not a public Frederick mugshot gallery. |
| Final disposition | Check Maryland court records for the later case result. |
Custody status and court outcomes are separate matters. A release alert says nothing about whether a charge was dismissed, amended, or proved. For disposition, the court record is the right source.
Register for Frederick Custody Alerts
Maryland VINE registration is free and confidential, per the official program material. Alerts can arrive by phone, text, email, in-app message, or TTY. Registration starts from the confirmed person's result. You can also use the VINELink mobile app. Phone sign-up is available at 1-866-634-8463. TTY access is listed at 1-866-847-1298.
- Confirm the person and custody source before choosing notifications.
- Select only the event types offered by the current Maryland result.
- Choose a phone, text, email, app, or TTY channel that can be monitored.
- For phone registration, create and confirm the required four-digit PIN.
- Keep contact details current and save the registration information securely.
Alerts can cover release, transfer, escape, probation or parole, and certain court events when offered. Think of an alert as a prompt. It should push you to verify and follow a safety plan, not serve as an emergency warning system. Never lean on a single automated channel when immediate safety is at stake. The Maryland DPSCS Victim Services page explains the official victim-notification role.

This state source helps distinguish electronic VINE alerts from separate written DOC notification services.
How Frederick VINE Alerts Work
An alert only reports that a source system logged a covered event. It does not hand over the full detention history, booking packet, or court file. A transfer can move someone away from the initial Frederick County custody choice. Release can happen before an older weekly log is even read. Probation and parole events are also possible. Those can reflect a much later stage than the original county arrest.
- Custody
- The agency or facility control reflected by the source at a point in time.
- Transfer
- A move to another facility or authority, which may change where records are checked.
- Release
- An end to the reported custody episode, not a statement about case disposition.
- Disposition
- The court's later outcome, separate from any booking or VINE status.
Check the event time and source when shown. If a message affects a safety decision, confirm with the relevant agency and follow any instructions from an advocate or law enforcement. VINE registration never replaces emergency services.
Frederick VINELink Limits and Fallbacks
VINELink may lag behind a new booking. Frederick County also publishes no official same-day roster for comparing results. For a fresh event, the direct county route on Arrests Last 24 Hours is the place to start. It begins with FCADC Central Booking. Staff may limit what they can disclose. Even so, the detention contacts are the right place to resolve a timing gap.
| Custody question | Correct starting source |
|---|---|
| New local adult booking | FCADC Central Booking |
| Frederick release or transfer alert | Maryland VINE, if a live match is available |
| Maryland state correctional custody | DPSCS incarcerated-individual locator |
| Federal sentenced custody | Federal Bureau of Prisons locator |
| Federal immigration custody | ICE Online Detainee Locator |
| Court disposition | Maryland Case Search or the court clerk |
VINE does not replace BOP or ICE locators and offers no federal coverage. The DPSCS state locator, likewise, is not a Frederick County recent-booking feed. Each system starts at a different point in the custody process.
Frederick Custody Is Not Guilt
Custody data answers one narrow question: is this person held at the Frederick County detention center right now? A VINELink alert says nothing beyond that. It reports booking status, nothing more. For case details, turn to Maryland Case Search. The Frederick court clerk can help when remote records fall short. Some material stays off limits. Juvenile files, sealed cases, shielded matters, and expunged records are restricted by law. An alert, a booking photo, or a weekly arrest log shows custody only. The court file tells the rest of the story.
Note: A release alert settles one custody event; the legal outcome lives in the court record, not the notification.
